Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Supply Chain Controller to join our dynamic team in Ann Arbor, MI. The Supply Chain Controller will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain costs, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring financial compliance across all supply chain activities. This position requires a professional with a strong understanding of financial principles, supply chain logistics, and a proven ability to analyze complex data to drive strategic decisions. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing financial controls, forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting for our extensive supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and procedures for all supply chain operations.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecasts related to procurement, inventory, logistics, and distribution.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management on supply chain performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead efforts in continuous improvement for financial processes within the supply chain.
- Manage and reconcile complex data sets to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Support strategic initiatives by providing financial modeling and analysis for new projects or changes in supply chain strategy.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis and cost accounting principles.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management concepts and logistics.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Supply Chain Management.
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certifications.
- Experience in the food service or retail supply chain industry.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Project management experience.
