Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Supply Chain Controller to join our team in Fort Wayne, IN. This critical role is responsible for overseeing the financial performance of our supply chain operations, ensuring cost efficiency, and providing strategic financial insights to optimize our global logistics and procurement processes. The Supply Chain Controller will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, directly contributing to the profitability and operational excellence of Siemens. You will work closely with various departments, including procurement, logistics, production, and finance, to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement robust financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor supply chain cost control strategies and policies.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of supply chain operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory.
- Prepare accurate financial forecasts, budgets, and reports related to supply chain performance.
- Identify and analyze key cost drivers, variances, and trends within the supply chain.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and manufacturing teams to drive cost reduction initiatives and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, accounting standards, and external regulations.
- Support strategic planning processes by providing financial insights and data-driven recommendations.
- Perform regular reconciliation of supply chain-related accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of ERP systems and financial reporting tools related to supply chain.
- Present financial performance and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in financial controlling, preferably within a supply chain or logistics environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes and their financial implications.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
- Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), or Supply Chain Management.
- Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant).
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
