Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure team in Ulverstone. This entry-level role is perfect for someone eager to start their career in IT infrastructure, gain hands-on experience, and grow within a leading telecommunications company. You will support the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our critical IT systems and network infrastructure under the guidance of senior engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of server hardware, operating systems, and network devices.
  • Perform routine system checks, backups, and data recovery procedures.

  • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Participate in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software.
  • Learn and apply best practices for system security and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve incidents and implement changes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the infrastructure team.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
