Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and efficient Taxi Fleet Sanitizer to join our evening team in Oshawa. This crucial role is responsible for ensuring our fleet of taxis is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each shift, preparing them for the next day’s service. You will play a vital role in maintaining the health and safety standards for both our drivers and passengers, operating in a fast-paced environment that requires quick turnaround times. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive sanitization of taxi interiors, including seats, dashboards, door handles, windows, and high-touch surfaces.
- Clean exterior surfaces of vehicles, including windows and basic wipe-downs as needed.
- Empty trash receptacles and remove any debris from vehicles.
- Refill sanitizing supplies and restock amenities within vehicles as required.
- Report any damage, maintenance issues, or unusual findings to the fleet manager promptly.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and sanitation guidelines.
- Work efficiently to ensure a quick turnaround of vehicles for subsequent shifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the fleet service bay.
Required Skills
- Ability to work evening shifts, typically starting between 5 PM and 7 PM.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 lbs during a shift.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures for handling cleaning chemicals (training provided).
- Must possess a valid driver's license (G class equivalent in Ontario) and a clean driving record for moving vehicles within the lot.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in cleaning, sanitation, or fleet maintenance is an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with various cleaning products and techniques.
- Experience working in a professional, deadline-driven environment.
