Job Description

Costa Coffee is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Trainee Barista / Coffee Shop Assistant in Merthyr Tydfil. You will learn all aspects of working in a busy coffee shop, from crafting perfect beverages to maintaining a welcoming environment, all within daytime operating hours. Key Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting all customers with a smile.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and hot chocolates, following Costa Coffee's recipes and standards (full training provided).
- Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Operate the till system, handling cash and card payments accurately.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised coffee shop, including the front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
- Restock retail display units and ensure product availability.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required; full training will be provided.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
