Costa Coffee is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Trainee Barista / Coffee Shop Assistant in Merthyr Tydfil. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, greeting all customers with a smile.
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and hot chocolates, following Costa Coffee's recipes and standards (full training provided).
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring quality and freshness.
  • Operate the till system, handling cash and card payments accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised coffee shop, including the front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
  • Restock retail display units and ensure product availability.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills

  • No prior experience required; full training will be provided.
