Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete all phases of the Public Sector Fire Academy training program, including classroom instruction and practical exercises.
  • Learn and adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, safety protocols, and emergency response guidelines.
  • Participate actively in physical fitness training to meet and maintain the demanding physical requirements of a firefighter.
  • Develop proficiency in fire suppression techniques, hazardous materials response, emergency medical procedures, and rescue operations.
  • Operate and maintain firefighting apparatus and equipment under supervision.
  • Collaborate effectively with instructors and fellow trainees in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to learning, discipline, and community service.
