Job Description

MNP LLP is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Prince George office as a Trainee Public Accountant. This entry-level position is designed for individuals with little to no prior experience in accounting, offering comprehensive training and invaluable hands-on experience. We are committed to your success and will provide full paid study support for your professional accounting designations (CPA), ensuring you have the resources needed to excel. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining exposure to various aspects of auditing, tax, and advisory services for a diverse client base. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior accountants and managers with audit engagements, including preparing working papers and verifying financial information.
- Support the preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns.
- Learn and apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
- Participate in client meetings and build professional relationships.
- Perform bookkeeping tasks and reconcile accounts.
- Conduct research on accounting and tax-related issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field (or actively pursuing).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
