Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Shadow and assist qualified Public Health Inspectors on site visits, inspections, and investigations.
- Develop an understanding of and apply relevant public health legislation and guidelines.
- Participate in assessments of food safety, housing conditions, and environmental quality.
- Support the team in responding to public health complaints and service requests under direct supervision.
- Contribute to the preparation of inspection reports and risk assessments.
- Actively engage in all training modules and study for professional certifications.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all activities and observations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, businesses, and the public.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above in English, Mathematics, and a Science subject.

- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
