Job Description
Are you looking to start a rewarding career in hospitality with no prior experience? Premier Inn in Blackburn is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Trainee Receptionist to join our friendly team. This full-time position offers comprehensive training from day one, equipping you with all the skills needed to excel in a front-desk role. If you have a positive attitude, a desire to learn, and a passion for providing excellent service, we want to hear from you! No experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and we’ll teach you the rest.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and assist with efficient check-in/check-out procedures.
- Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately.
- Answer incoming calls promptly, direct them appropriately, and take messages when necessary.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions to enhance guest experience.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints with professionalism, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Process payments securely and maintain accurate cash handling records.
- Assist with various administrative tasks as required by the hotel management.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised reception area, ensuring a welcoming first impression.
- Actively participate in all provided training to develop excellent front-desk and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Any prior experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., retail, café) is a plus but not essential.
- Ability to speak additional languages would be advantageous.
- A genuine interest in the hospitality industry and providing exceptional guest experiences.
