Job Description

No prior experience operating a bus is required – we provide comprehensive, paid training to ensure you have all the skills and certifications needed to become a professional bus driver. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively and successfully in all paid training programs, including classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel practice.
- Learn and master designated bus routes, schedules, and fare collection procedures.
- Operate transit buses safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to all passengers, including assistance with boarding and alighting as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and passengers.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Required Skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain necessary commercial driver's license (CDL) endorsements through provided training.
- Strong commitment to safety and passenger well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to operate a large vehicle and assist passengers as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Odessa city area and roadways.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
