Job Description
Balfour Beatty is seeking dedicated and physically robust individuals to join our construction team as Trench Digging Laborers in Nottingham. This role is crucial for our infrastructure projects, involving significant manual effort in preparing sites, digging trenches for utility lines, foundations, and drainage systems, primarily using hand tools such as shovels. Key Responsibilities
- Manually excavate trenches, post holes, and other earth formations using shovels and other hand tools.
- Assist in the preparation and breakdown of construction sites.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all safety protocols.
- Assist skilled tradespeople and other laborers as needed on various tasks.
- Operate small machinery and power tools under supervision, if trained.
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and foremen.
