Job Description
Everest Home Improvements is seeking skilled and dedicated Glaziers/Window Installers to join our thriving team in Bristol, England. As a Glazier / Window Installer, you will be responsible for the precise measurement, cutting, fitting, and installation of a wide range of glass products and window/door systems. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent customer service skills. You will work on various projects, from residential upgrades to commercial installations, ensuring every job is completed to our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure, cut, and fit glass panes for windows, doors, and other structures.
- Install and repair various types of windows, doors, and conservatories (UPVC, timber, aluminium).
- Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and company standards.
- Prepare and clean installation sites, including removing old frames and debris.
- Inspect completed work for quality and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Interact professionally with clients, addressing any concerns and providing excellent service.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines on job sites.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Glazier, Window Installer, or similar role.
- Proficiency in glazing techniques and handling various glass types.
- Competent in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures in a construction environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Basic verbal communication skills in English.
- A valid driving licence is essential for travelling to various job sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Glazing, Fenestration, or a related field.
- Experience with different window and door systems (e.g., UPVC, timber, aluminium).
- First Aid certification.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
