Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our dynamic team in Carson City, Nevada. This crucial role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on various aircraft to ensure their safety and airworthiness in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, a meticulous eye for detail, and a commitment to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft systems, components, and structures.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and avionics system malfunctions.
- Perform component removals, installations, and functional tests.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are documented accurately and in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, quality standards, and airworthiness directives (ADs).
- Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and flight crews to ensure efficient operations.
- Participate in continuous training and development to stay updated with industry best practices and aircraft technology.
Required Skills
- Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license or equivalent certification (e.g., FAA A&P).
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations (e.g., FAA FARs, EASA Part 145).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance Technology.
- Type rating on specific aircraft models relevant to our fleet (e.g., Boeing, Airbus, regional jets).
- Experience with maintenance tracking software (e.g., AMOS, TRAX).
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
- Previous experience in an MRO or airline environment.
