Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and user-centric UX Designer to join our dynamic team in Newport, Wales. As a UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in crafting intuitive and engaging digital experiences for our clients. You will be responsible for understanding user needs, translating them into compelling designs, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to bring products to life. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects, shaping the future of digital solutions across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and define user requirements.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across products.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other designers throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, technical constraints, and business goals.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer, demonstrating a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.
  • Experience conducting user research and translating findings into design solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Certification in UX design or related areas.
