Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled UX Designer to join our innovative digital product team based in Norwich. You will be instrumental in creating intuitive, engaging, and effective user experiences across our diverse product portfolio. This role involves understanding user needs, translating them into design solutions, and collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to bring these visions to life. You’ll work on critical projects that directly impact our customers’ financial well-being, from initial concept to launch and iteration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user behaviors and pain points.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design ideas.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and developers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience.
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data analysis, and technical constraints.
  • Champion UX best practices and contribute to the evolution of our design system.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a UX Designer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience with user research methodologies and ability to translate insights into design solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX design projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a large enterprise or financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
