Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Vegetable Packers to join our ‘on-farm’ team immediately in Werribee South. This is an ongoing full-time position crucial to our daily operations, ensuring our produce is perfectly prepared for market. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities
- Carefully inspecting freshly harvested vegetables for quality and defects.
- Washing, trimming, and preparing vegetables according to company standards.
- Packing vegetables into various containers, bags, and boxes.
- Labeling packages accurately with product information and dates.
- Maintaining a clean and organized packing area.
- Adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assisting with other farm tasks as required during quieter periods.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good physical stamina, capable of standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and safety instructions.
- Must have legal right to work in Australia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a packing, warehousing, or agricultural role (not mandatory, but a plus).
- Familiarity with food handling and safety procedures.
- Own transport or reliable access to transport to Werribee South.
