Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in a structured training program to learn vehicle damage assessment techniques and insurance claims processes.
  • Shadow experienced Vehicle Damage Estimators, observing their methods for inspecting vehicles and preparing estimates.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to claims processing and documentation under supervision.
  • Learn to identify vehicle components, assess damage, and understand repair methodologies.
  • Develop proficiency in using estimation software and company-specific tools.
  • Communicate effectively with policyholders, repair shops, and internal teams as part of the learning process.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards throughout all activities.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong desire and aptitude to learn new skills in the automotive and insurance fields.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License and a clean driving record (for future potential field visits).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., automotive technology, business administration).
  • Previous customer service experience in any industry.
  • Basic understanding of automotive mechanics or bodywork.
