Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a structured training program to learn vehicle damage assessment techniques and insurance claims processes.
- Shadow experienced Vehicle Damage Estimators, observing their methods for inspecting vehicles and preparing estimates.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to claims processing and documentation under supervision.
- Learn to identify vehicle components, assess damage, and understand repair methodologies.
- Develop proficiency in using estimation software and company-specific tools.
- Communicate effectively with policyholders, repair shops, and internal teams as part of the learning process.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards throughout all activities.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong desire and aptitude to learn new skills in the automotive and insurance fields.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Valid Ontario Class G Driver's License and a clean driving record (for future potential field visits).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., automotive technology, business administration).
- Previous customer service experience in any industry.
- Basic understanding of automotive mechanics or bodywork.
