Job Description
Are you passionate about making a real impact from the comfort of your home? The Canadian Cancer Society is seeking dedicated Virtual Charity Fundraisers to join our passionate team. This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to life-saving research and vital support programs by connecting with donors over the phone. We’re looking for individuals with excellent communication skills and a desire to help, no prior fundraising experience required – full training will be provided! This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the chance to be part of a meaningful cause.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage potential and existing donors in warm, respectful, and persuasive conversations over the phone.
- Clearly articulate the mission and impact of the Canadian Cancer Society's programs and initiatives.
- Secure donations and pledges in support of cancer research, prevention, and support services.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of donor interactions and commitments.
- Adhere to all organizational guidelines and fundraising best practices.
- Participate in ongoing training and development sessions to enhance fundraising skills.
- Represent the Canadian Cancer Society professionally and ethically at all times.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong empathy and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Self-motivated with a positive and resilient attitude.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort using virtual communication tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, or telemarketing (advantageous but not required).
- Experience volunteering or working for a non-profit organization.
- Familiarity with CRM software or donor management systems.
- Ability to communicate in both English and French.
