Job Description

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Waste Truck Offsiders to join our team in Liverpool, working on an ongoing council contract. This is a full-time position offering stable employment and the opportunity to be an integral part of our essential waste collection services. As an Offsider, you will be responsible for assisting the driver with the collection of waste from residential and commercial properties, ensuring efficient and safe operations. This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires good physical fitness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the truck driver with navigating routes and reversing safely.
  • Collect various types of waste from designated bins and containers.
  • Load waste efficiently and safely into the collection vehicle.
  • Ensure all waste is collected according to scheduled routes and council guidelines.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service, interacting courteously with residents and businesses.
  • Report any issues or hazards encountered during collection rounds.
  • Help maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the collection vehicle.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for long periods.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications
