Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and dedicated WFH Legal Secretary to join our fully remote team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrative professional to contribute to a dynamic legal environment from the comfort of their home. You will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to our legal professionals, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of client matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain legal documents, correspondence, and client files with precision and confidentiality.
  • Draft and format legal documents, including letters, briefs, and court forms.
  • Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate meetings for legal staff.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and postal mail.
  • Perform legal research as required, using online databases and other resources.
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and expense reporting.
  • Organise and maintain electronic filing systems, ensuring easy retrieval of information.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the remote legal team.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (2+ years) as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in Legal Administration or Business Administration.
  • Experience with legal practice management software (e.g., Leap, Actionstep, Clio).
  • Familiarity with specific areas of law relevant to our practice (e.g., personal injury, family law).
  • Experience working in a fully remote or hybrid work model previously.
