Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant WFH Network Monitor to join our night shift team. This fully remote position is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of our vast network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance during off-peak hours. You will be responsible for proactively monitoring network health, identifying potential issues, and escalating critical alerts to senior support teams. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and availability using various monitoring tools.
- Respond to and analyze network alerts, alarms, and events during night shifts.
- Perform initial troubleshooting steps to identify the root cause of network issues.
- Escalate complex or critical incidents to the appropriate senior technical teams.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, actions taken, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including security protocols.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of network concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused during night shifts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a NOC (Network Operations Center) environment.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
- CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
