Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in healthcare administration? Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our Radiology Department as an Entry Level X-Ray / Radiology File Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with no prior experience in a hospital setting, offering comprehensive training and a pathway into the medical field. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of patient information, directly contributing to the quality of care provided to our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, file, and retrieve patient radiology records and images accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform data entry for new records and updates into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Assist medical staff with locating and preparing patient files for appointments and procedures.
- Scan and digitize physical documents into the digital filing system.
- Monitor inventory of office supplies and submit requisitions as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the Radiology Department as directed.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

- Previous experience in an office or administrative setting (non-medical experience welcome).
