Job Description
Are you passionate about wildlife conservation and eager to gain hands-on experience in a world-renowned zoo environment? We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for our Zoology & Animal Husbandry Intern position focusing on Zoo Enclosures. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from experienced zookeepers and animal care specialists, contributing to the daily care and maintenance of animal habitats. You will gain foundational knowledge in animal welfare, exhibit design, and the operational aspects of a major zoological institution. This is a chance to kickstart your career in zoology, animal science, or wildlife management, with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist zookeepers with daily cleaning and maintenance of animal enclosures and surrounding areas.
- Observe and document animal behavior and habitat conditions under supervision.
- Prepare animal diets and enrichment items according to strict protocols.
- Support in the observation and reporting of any changes in animal health or behavior.
- Help with general upkeep of the zoo grounds and operational support tasks.
- Participate in educational sessions and workshops focused on animal husbandry and conservation practices.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and animal welfare guidelines.

- Basic knowledge of animal welfare principles and environmental enrichment.
