Job Description
Are you a highly energetic, enthusiastic individual with a passion for interactive entertainment and exceptional customer service? Impulse Escape Room is seeking an engaging Escape Room Game Master to join our team for weekend shifts. As a Game Master, you are the heart of the player experience, guiding our guests through thrilling puzzles and ensuring every adventure is unforgettable. No prior experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive training for the right candidate who brings a positive attitude and a commitment to fun.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and brief guests on game rules and safety procedures.
- Monitor game progress via cameras and provide timely, strategic hints to enhance player experience.
- Manage game flow, timing, and ensure smooth transitions between bookings.
- Enthusiastically debrief players after their game, celebrating their successes and sharing memorable moments.
- Thoroughly reset escape rooms to their original state, ensuring all props are in place and functional for the next group.
- Handle basic customer inquiries and troubleshoot minor technical issues during games.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting lobby and game room environment.
- Promote a positive and exciting atmosphere for all guests and team members.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to think quickly on your feet and make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail for room resets and monitoring.
- Reliability and punctuality, particularly for scheduled weekend shifts.
- A genuine enthusiasm for puzzles, games, and interactive entertainment.
- Basic computer proficiency for operating game software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, or entertainment roles.
- A natural storyteller or performer.
- Experience with basic technical troubleshooting.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
