Job Description
Are you looking for a fast-paced, temporary role to earn extra income during the holiday season? Amazon is hiring motivated and reliable Seasonal Picker & Packers to join our fulfillment center team in Tampa. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in delivering gifts and essential items to customers during the busy Christmas and peak season. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success!
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Pack items securely and accurately into appropriate shipping containers.
- Scan items into inventory and out for shipment using handheld devices.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items up to 49 pounds for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for operating scanning devices (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center setting (not required but a plus).
