Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and energetic Street Sweeper Offsider to join our Mount Gambier team. This role is perfect for an early riser looking for consistent work with the benefit of having your afternoons free. As an Offsider, you will work alongside our experienced street sweeper operators, assisting with daily operations to ensure our streets, car parks, and public areas are clean and well-maintained. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in environmental services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the street sweeper operator in navigating routes and identifying areas requiring attention.
- Perform manual sweeping, litter collection, and debris removal in areas inaccessible to machinery.
- Safely load and unload equipment and waste materials onto designated vehicles.
- Monitor equipment for basic operational issues and report any faults to the operator.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and traffic management procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and the public when required.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and assist with vehicle upkeep.
- Complete necessary documentation, such as daily logs or inspection sheets.
