Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Public Works Labourer to join our dedicated team, focusing on essential infrastructure projects across the Port Pirie region. This role involves hands-on work in a dynamic outdoor environment, supporting the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, footpaths, drainage systems, and public amenities. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, footpaths, and drainage systems.
  • Perform general labouring tasks including digging, shoveling, lifting, carrying, and clearing debris.
  • Operate various hand and basic power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Support skilled tradespersons and team members on a variety of infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work sites and equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with traffic management setups as required.
  • Participate in emergency response activities when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Australian Driver's License (Class C or higher).
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Experience with basic hand tools or small plant equipment.
  • First Aid certification.
