Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Public Works Labourer to join our dedicated team, focusing on essential infrastructure projects across the Port Pirie region. This role involves hands-on work in a dynamic outdoor environment, supporting the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, footpaths, drainage systems, and public amenities. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, footpaths, and drainage systems.
- Perform general labouring tasks including digging, shoveling, lifting, carrying, and clearing debris.
- Operate various hand and basic power tools safely and efficiently.
- Support skilled tradespersons and team members on a variety of infrastructure projects.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work sites and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with traffic management setups as required.
- Participate in emergency response activities when necessary.

- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Class C or higher).
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Experience with basic hand tools or small plant equipment.
- First Aid certification.
