Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and vigilant Security Monitoring Dispatcher to join our operations centre in Fremantle. This is a crucial role responsible for monitoring various security systems, responding to alarms, and dispatching security personnel or emergency services as needed. The successful candidate will primarily work night shifts and must hold a valid Western Australian Security Licence. Your ability to act quickly, communicate clearly, and maintain calm under pressure will be paramount in this fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and other security feeds for multiple client sites.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to all alarms and incidents, following established protocols.
- Dispatch security personnel, mobile patrols, and/or emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) as required.
- Maintain accurate logs and detailed reports of all activities, incidents, and dispatches.
- Communicate effectively with on-site security teams, clients, and emergency responders.
- Operate various communication systems, including radios, telephones, and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software.
- Escalate critical incidents to management as per company guidelines.
- Assist with routine system checks and report any technical issues.
Required Skills
- Valid Western Australian Security Licence (Crowd Controller/Security Officer)
- Proven experience in a security control room, call centre, or similar dispatch environment (1 year minimum)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and security monitoring software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Sound decision-making skills and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with specific alarm monitoring or CCTV platforms.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local geography and emergency service protocols in the Fremantle/Perth area.
