Job Description
Join our dedicated team in Sale as a Part-time Support Worker for day shifts, making a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. This rewarding role involves providing person-centred care and support to help individuals live as independently as possible, achieve their goals, and participate fully in their community. You will be a vital part of creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. We are looking for compassionate and enthusiastic individuals who are committed to empowering others.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support with daily living activities, including personal care, medication management, and meal preparation.
- Assist individuals in developing life skills and achieving personal goals, fostering independence and confidence.
- Support individuals to access community activities, appointments, and social opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with care plans and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other team members to ensure holistic support.
- Promote choice, dignity, and respect in all interactions, advocating for the rights of the individuals we support.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and compassionate approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Basic IT literacy for record-keeping.
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care or support role (paid or voluntary).
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- First Aid certification.
- Full UK driving license (desirable for community access).
