Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Civil Service Recruiter to join our growing team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact. You will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and onboarding top talent for various civil service roles within provincial and federal government departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government hiring processes, excellent communication skills, and a passion for public service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for civil service positions.
- Conduct thorough candidate screening, interviews, and assessments to evaluate skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from initial contact to offer extension and onboarding support.
- Provide expert guidance to candidates on civil service application processes and career opportunities.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and government clients to understand their staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and government recruitment regulations.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Randstad Canada, promoting our values and commitment to public sector excellence.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in recruitment, preferably with a focus on public sector or government roles.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a high-volume recruitment pipeline in a virtual environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
- Understanding of Canadian civil service hiring processes and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience recruiting for various levels of government (municipal, provincial, federal).
- Familiarity with government specific security clearances and compliance.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
