Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Virtual Veteran Support Representative to join our remote public sector team. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive support, information, and guidance to veterans and their families across Canada. As a Virtual Veteran Support Representative, you will be the primary point of contact, assisting with inquiries related to benefits, services, programs, and general support. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office while making a significant impact on the lives of those who have served.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to veteran and family inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on available government programs, benefits, and services for veterans.
  • Assist veterans in navigating application processes and connecting them with appropriate resources.
  • Document all interactions and maintain detailed records in accordance with privacy and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay informed about policy changes and service updates.
  • Adhere to all company and public sector guidelines regarding data confidentiality and customer service standards.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service or contact centre environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong active listening and empathetic abilities.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, CRM software, and various communication tools.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with veteran affairs or government services.
  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken) is a significant asset.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian public sector landscape.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., social work, public administration, customer service).
