Job Description
Are you ready to embark on a fulfilling career in the vibrant hospitality industry? The Grand Central Hotel Ballymena is actively seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Server / Wait Staff. Absolutely no prior experience is required – we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, on-the-job training to equip you with all the skills needed to excel in this role. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the ropes of customer service, food and beverage service, and teamwork in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive full training on greeting guests warmly and seating them appropriately.
- Learn to present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about menu items.
- Be trained to accurately take food and beverage orders from guests.
- Practice serving food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with table setup and clearing, ensuring dining areas are always tidy.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all service areas.
- Support the team in opening and closing procedures for the restaurant.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other front-of-house team members.
- Under guidance, address guest inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
