Job Description
We are looking for dedicated and empathetic individuals to join our team as a Taxpayer Support Representative. In this on-site role, you will be the first point of contact for taxpayers, providing essential support and accurate information regarding their inquiries. This is an inbound calls only position, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for every caller. Full training will be provided to ensure your success in this vital role.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls from taxpayers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide clear, concise, and accurate information regarding tax-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
- Document all interactions and resolutions accurately in the system.
- Identify and escalate complex issues to appropriate departments when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations.
- Continuously learn and adapt to changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Strive to resolve inquiries on the first call, minimizing the need for follow-ups.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and navigating multiple applications simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and structured environment.
- Demonstrated empathy and patience when assisting callers.
- Basic understanding of customer service principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
- Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment (6 months preferred).
- Familiarity with financial or tax-related software and terminology.
- Ability to communicate in both English and French is an asset.
