Job Description
Join Summit Renovation & Demolition Inc. as a Kitchen Cabinet Demolition Helper and become a crucial part of our demolition crew. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are physically capable, eager to learn, and ready to get hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will primarily assist in the safe and efficient removal of kitchen cabinetry and related fixtures, utilizing tools such as sledgehammers. We provide comprehensive training and a supportive work environment, making this an excellent opportunity to start your career in demolition.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting lead demolition specialists in various kitchen demolition projects.
- Safely and efficiently removing kitchen cabinets, countertops, and other fixtures using hand tools, including sledgehammers.
- Loading demolished materials and debris onto trucks or into designated waste containers.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work site throughout all phases of demolition.
- Rigorously following all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Performing general labor tasks as assigned to support project completion and team efficiency.
- Protecting non-demolition areas and client property from damage during work.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and manual labor.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors and senior crew members.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively and safely as part of a team.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labor-intensive role or construction environment is an asset (but not required).
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety, First Aid, and/or WHMIS certification.
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
