Job Description
Are you passionate about working outdoors and eager to learn a valuable trade? Green Canopy Arboriculture is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Tree Lopper Assistant to join our team in Fremantle. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals with no prior experience in arboriculture. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training, teaching you everything you need to know about safe tree felling, pruning, and ground operations. If you’re a hard worker, a quick learner, and ready for a hands-on career, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced arborists and tree loppers with ground operations.
- Perform general site clean-up, including branch removal and debris management.
- Operate basic arborist equipment under supervision, after training.
- Support the team in setting up and packing down job sites.
- Ensure the safe and efficient handling of tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a cooperative team environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in an outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Valid Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Basic First Aid certification.
