Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Renewable Energy / Solar Engineer to join our growing team in Ealing, London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with experience in solar PV systems to contribute to significant renewable energy projects across the UK. Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize grid-connected and off-grid solar PV systems using industry-standard software.
- Perform site assessments, energy yield analysis, and technical feasibility studies for solar projects.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings, and bills of materials.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
- Conduct quality control checks and provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant British Standards and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in solar PV system design and engineering.
- Proficiency in solar design software (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience with energy storage systems (batteries) integration.
- Knowledge of UK electricity distribution network operator (DNO) requirements.
- Professional certifications (e.g., MCS accreditation, PRINCE2 Foundation).
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
