Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Skip Bin Sorter to join our team in Morwell. This vital role involves sorting various materials from skip bins, ensuring proper segregation for recycling and disposal. You will be instrumental in the initial stages of our recycling process, contributing directly to environmental sustainability. This is an on-site, hands-on position requiring attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort and separate recyclable materials (e.g., plastics, metals, paper, timber) from general waste within skip bins.
- Identify and remove hazardous materials or contaminants from waste streams.
- Operate basic sorting equipment as required, under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety procedures and regulations.
- Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily sorting targets.
- Assist with general site clean-up and organisation as needed.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a waste management or industrial environment (not mandatory, full training provided).
