Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Audit team in Bristol as an Audit Assistant. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for those looking to start a career in accountancy and audit. You will gain hands-on experience working with diverse clients across various industries, supported by a dedicated team and comprehensive training program. We are looking for someone with a strong desire to learn, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting senior auditors in conducting audit engagements for various clients.
  • Preparing working papers, schedules, and financial statements.
  • Performing substantive testing and tests of controls.
  • Documenting audit findings and communicating with team members.
  • Assisting with the preparation of audit reports and management letters.
  • Learning and applying auditing standards and methodologies.
  • Building strong client relationships through professional communication.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A strong desire to learn and develop a career in audit.
  • Recently completed or pursuing a relevant degree (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Business) or A-levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Prior experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or volunteer work demonstrating leadership or teamwork.
