Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Rooms to lead our Rooms Division operations. This critical leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the front office, guest services, housekeeping, and reservations departments, ensuring an impeccable and memorable experience for all guests. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, elevate service standards, and maximize guest satisfaction and departmental profitability. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Rooms Division team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Front Office, Concierge, Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Reservations departments.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of 5-star luxury service standards across all guest touchpoints, anticipating and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets, payroll, and expenses to achieve financial targets.
  • Implement and maintain robust operational procedures and quality control measures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Handle guest feedback, resolve issues promptly and professionally, and use insights to improve services.
  • Collaborate with other departmental heads to ensure seamless cross-functional operations and guest experience.
  • Analyze occupancy forecasts, revenue reports, and market trends to optimize room utilization and pricing strategies.
  • Oversee inventory management of guest rooms, public areas, and related supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Rooms Division within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Proven track record of driving exceptional guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and revenue optimization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems (PMS) and reservations platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with international guest relations and diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Multilingual abilities are a significant asset.
  • Prior experience with pre-opening or renovation projects.
  • Certification in hospitality management or leadership.
