Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Order Desk Assistant to join our Busselton team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of customer orders and providing essential administrative support. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing order inquiries, processing orders accurately, and maintaining clear communication with customers and internal departments. This is a vital administrative role requiring a proactive approach and a commitment to customer satisfaction within our dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently through our internal systems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, product availability, and delivery schedules via phone and email.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of orders.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of all order-related communications and transactions.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and report generation.
  • Escalate complex customer issues to appropriate departments for resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for order processing procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in an administrative or customer service role, preferably in a retail or logistics environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with order management systems (OMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
