Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equity Research Intern to join our Asset Management division in Valdosta, GA. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, market research, and investment strategy within a dynamic asset management environment. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced analysts, supporting the team in various research initiatives and contributing to the investment decision-making process. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates eager to launch a career in finance and develop foundational skills in equity research.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior analysts with collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial data from various sources.
- Conduct industry and company-specific research, summarizing key findings for the team.
- Prepare financial models and valuations under guidance, including discounted cash flow (DCF) and comparable company analysis (CCA).
- Help draft research reports, presentations, and other investment-related materials.
- Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and company news relevant to our investment portfolios.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and research tasks as needed by the Asset Management team.
- Learn and apply financial concepts and methodologies under the mentorship of experienced professionals.
Required Skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets, investments, and equity research.

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous coursework or projects related to financial modeling, valuation, or investment analysis.
- Familiarity with financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ) is a plus, but not required.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
