Job Description
Visionworks is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our established practice in Waco, Texas. This is a unique opportunity for an Optometrist looking to make a significant impact on patient vision health. As an Optometrist at Visionworks, you will provide comprehensive eye care, including examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of ocular diseases, and prescription of corrective lenses. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and treat ocular diseases and conditions.
- Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and vision health.
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with opticians and other support staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in optometry.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current or eligible for Texas State Optometry License.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or private practice setting.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Fluency in Spanish or other languages.
- Specialization or advanced training in specific areas of optometry (e.g., pediatrics, low vision).
