Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Carbon Capture & Sequestration Intern to join our innovative research team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge environmental science and engineering. The intern will support ongoing projects focused on developing and evaluating novel technologies for carbon capture, utilization, and storage. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for students or recent graduates passionate about combating climate change and contributing to a sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior researchers and engineers with experimental setup and execution in the laboratory.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data from carbon capture experiments and pilot studies.
  • Perform comprehensive literature reviews to support new and ongoing research initiatives.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and scientific papers.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project development discussions.
  • Learn and apply various analytical techniques relevant to carbon capture processes and material characterization.

Required Skills

  • Strong passion for environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.
  • Basic understanding of scientific principles, particularly in chemistry, physics, or engineering.
  • Eagerness and aptitude to learn new scientific concepts and experimental techniques quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical discussions and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific or engineering field.
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory procedures, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
  • Previous coursework, projects, or volunteer experience related to environmental engineering, climate science, or sustainable technologies.
