Job Description
As a Retail Store Manager at Currys, you will be the heart of our Hatfield store, leading a dedicated team to deliver outstanding customer experiences and achieve sales targets. You will be responsible for the overall operational efficiency, profitability, and visual merchandising of the store. Your leadership will inspire your team, foster a positive work environment, and ensure our customers receive the best possible service and advice on our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing retail team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Drive store sales and profitability through effective management of KPIs, stock, and operational costs.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded, resolving any customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Implement and maintain high standards of visual merchandising, ensuring the store is always engaging and reflective of our brand.
- Manage store operations, including inventory control, cash handling, health and safety compliance, and administrative tasks.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment for all team members.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as relevant legal regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in retail management, demonstrating strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of motivating a diverse team and engaging customers.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing store budgets.
- Operational excellence, including experience with inventory management, visual merchandising, and compliance.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Proficiency in using retail management software and basic computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Business Management, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Experience managing a store in the electronics or technology retail sector.
- Certification in leadership or management training programs.
