Job Description

Join our dynamic team at Pearson as a Virtual Study Notes Typist. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and have excellent typing skills. You will be responsible for accurately transcribing academic notes, lectures, and other educational materials, converting them into well-structured and easy-to-understand study guides. This role offers flexibility and the chance to contribute to the learning journey of students globally, either by typing new content or preparing existing notes for sale on our platforms. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately type and format academic notes, lecture transcripts, and study materials into digital documents.
  • Ensure clarity, conciseness, and grammatical correctness of all typed content.
  • Organize and structure notes logically for optimal readability and learning.
  • Collaborate with content specialists to ensure accuracy and adherence to academic standards.
  • Manage deadlines effectively and submit high-quality work in a timely manner.
  • Utilize various software and tools for transcription and document creation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all academic content.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in touch typing with a high WPM (Words Per Minute) rate and accuracy.
  • Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Reliable internet connection and a personal computer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in transcription, data entry, or academic support roles (though not required, as full training will be provided).
  • Familiarity with various academic subjects and terminologies.
