Job Description
Are you seeking a unique, high-impact role with excellent compensation and comprehensive training? Mitie Group PLC is looking for motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our specialized team as Pigeon Guano Cleaners. This critical role involves the safe and thorough removal of pigeon droppings from various commercial and public buildings, contributing significantly to public health and property maintenance. Full training will be provided, and all necessary safety equipment, including state-of-the-art hazmat suits, will be supplied.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently remove pigeon guano from designated areas, including roofs, ledges, attics, and other confined spaces.
- Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment and tools.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hazmat suits, respirators, and gloves.
- Prepare work sites, including setting up safety barriers and warning signs.
- Properly dispose of hazardous waste materials according to company and environmental guidelines.
- Conduct pre- and post-cleaning site inspections to ensure thoroughness and safety compliance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or site hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects on schedule.
