WSP is offering an exciting opportunity for a Roller Coaster Engineering Intern to join our innovative team in Maidstone, Kent. This entry-level internship is perfect for aspiring engineers eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and challenging field. As an intern, you will play a supporting role in various stages of project development, from concept and design to analysis and documentation for large-scale structural and mechanical projects that could include leisure and entertainment structures.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong desire to learn and contribute to cutting-edge engineering solutions. No prior professional experience in roller coaster design is required; we provide comprehensive training and mentorship to help you develop your skills and understanding of complex engineering principles. This is a fantastic chance to work alongside experienced engineers, contributing to real projects and seeing your theoretical knowledge applied in practice.
Your internship will focus on learning the fundamentals of structural mechanics, dynamics, materials science, and safety regulations as they apply to unique engineering challenges. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting senior engineers with research and data collection for project feasibility studies.
- Supporting the preparation of technical drawings, reports, and presentations using CAD software.

- Participating in design reviews and team meetings, contributing ideas and asking questions.
- Aiding in the documentation and organization of project files and specifications.
