Job Description
Are you an early bird with a passion for creating great experiences? Starbucks in Wilmington, DE is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Morning Shift Barista Trainee. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for those with no prior experience in coffee or food service. We believe in investing in our partners (employees) and providing comprehensive training to help you master the art of coffee making and customer service. You’ll work in a fast-paced, friendly environment, learning everything from crafting beverages to maintaining a sparkling clean store. Plus, enjoy free coffee and meals during your shifts!
Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive training on all aspects of barista duties and store operations.
- Learn to prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and other beverages to Starbucks standards.
- Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers warmly and responding to inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including beverage stations, public areas, and restrooms.
- Assist with opening procedures, including setting up equipment and stocking supplies.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliability and punctuality for morning shifts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (or currently pursuing).
- Previous experience in customer service or a fast-paced environment (not required, but a plus).
- Passion for coffee and creating memorable customer experiences.
