Job Description
Linde plc is seeking a motivated and talented Chemical Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in Miami, FL. This unique opportunity is specifically designed for international candidates who require sponsorship to work in the United States. As a Chemical Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing existing chemical processes, designing new systems, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our industrial gas production facilities. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize chemical processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze process performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct process simulations and modeling to predict system behavior.
- Develop and update process documentation, including P&IDs, PFDs, and operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to process deviations.
- Support the commissioning and start-up of new equipment and facilities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Prior experience with industrial gases or petrochemical processes (internships/co-ops count).
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, given our global operations.
