Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Scaffolding Supervisor to join our dynamic construction team based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals looking to advance their career in the UK. We are pleased to offer visa sponsorship for eligible candidates. The Scaffolding Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all scaffolding operations on various construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will lead a team of scaffolders, manage materials, and collaborate with site management to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all scaffolding activities on site.
- Ensure all scaffolding structures are erected, altered, and dismantled safely and in accordance with design specifications and relevant legislation (e.g., TG20:13).
- Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Manage scaffolding teams, allocating tasks and providing guidance and training.
- Order and manage scaffolding materials, ensuring optimal stock levels and preventing waste.
- Liaise with site managers, clients, and other trades to plan and execute scaffolding requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, inspections, and material usage.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all team members adhere to health and safety procedures.
- Report any incidents or hazards promptly and take corrective action.
- Oversee the maintenance and proper use of scaffolding equipment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Scaffolding Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of scaffolding systems and erection procedures.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK health and safety regulations related to scaffolding (e.g., Work at Height Regulations, TG20:13).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Valid driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- CISRS Scaffolder Advanced or Supervisor Card.
- SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
